FramSoc is a vibrant society for parents and friends of Framlingham College, whose purpose is to enhance and broaden our community, providing opportunities for parents to meet each other, governors and members of staff and the local community in a relaxed and informal atmosphere and to share each other’s company and the educational and cultural facilities available at the College.
FramSoc offers a wide ranging programme of events each term. Occasionally these will be open solely to members of the society but generally pupils and a wider audience are also invited to attend. Many of the events are based at the College and include visiting speakers, evening courses and social events but in addition we do also meet off-site for informal social gatherings and trips to various places of interest and entertainment such as galleries and the theatre. The FramSoc Committee are always very pleased to receive any suggestions for future events.
FramSoc is a self-funding membership based society with a modest subscription to cover running costs and College based events and entertainment. Most events are free of charge to members, though some courses and visits may carry extra costs. While parents from the Framlingham College will form the principal focus of the society, it will also be open to the wider community, including past parents, teaching and non-teaching staff and others associated with the schools. FramSoc is, emphatically, not a fund-raising vehicle and its primary focus is social, educational and cultural.
