No extra charge is made for using standard College facilities, games, medical attention within Framlingham College and everyday laundry or linen repairs. Essential texts are not charged to pupils if returned in good condition and by the required deadline.

Charges are also made for additional individual lessons, ESL and home boarding arrangements. Full details of specific rates are available on request from the Finance office.

Fees and Withdrawal

Fees must be paid on or before the first day of the term for which they are due. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Framlingham College’.  Alternatively we offer a monthly payment scheme through HTC.  Details are available from the Finance Office.

Governors reserve the right to refuse admission to a pupil whose fees are not paid or to require the withdrawal of an existing pupil whose fees have not been settled in accordance with College requirements.

In the event of a pupil’s withdrawal for any reason, or the discontinuation of an optional extra, including chargeable music lessons, a full school term’s notice in writing must be received by the Head on or before the first day of the term preceding that for which the notice is to take effect. Similarly, requests for a change in boarding status are to be made, in writing, to the Head giving a full term's notice. A change of status from boarding to day is not normally permitted mid-year. A full term's fees, or the charge for the optional extra, is payable unless such notice has been given.

The Head reserves the right to dismiss a pupil from the College or Preparatory School. In the event of a pupil being removed at the Head’s request, fees in hand will not be returned.

Acceptance of an offered place confirms agreement to the school’s published code of conduct.

Reductions for Brothers and Sisters:

When two or more children of the same family are current pupils, a 10%, 15% or 20% reduction of the tuition element of the fee will be given to the second, third and fourth child respectively.

Reductions for HM Forces:

The first child of personnel serving in HM Forces will be granted a reduction in the tuition element of the fee.  We offer a standard 10% reduction off the tuition fee, with further reductions possible following an assessment of financial circumstances.

Insurance and Fee Payment Schemes:

Remission of fees is not made for absence due to illness, accident, quarantine or any other cause. There is, however, a School Fees Remission Insurance Scheme available to cover such absences. The Finance office can supply details of this scheme and of others designed to assist fee payment planning. All pupils are enrolled in a Pupil Accident Insurance Scheme at no extra cost; full details are available from the Finance office.
